“When students are empowered to pursue their passions and aim high, we see incredible outcomes take shape,” said Superintendent of Schools David Law. “This moment recognizes our students' dedication and the strong network of teachers, families and community members surrounding them in Minnetonka Schools. We are proud to cheer them on as they forge their path ahead.”

Each year, Minnetonka Schools surveys parents about their family’s educational experience in our district. Results of this year’s survey revealed parents have high confidence in our programs, schools, teachers and leadership. 

The projects are part of more than 80,000 square feet of new construction and over 30,000 square feet of renovation taking place across the school district, including gym and performance venues at both middle schools, new science classrooms, and improvements at six elementary schools and the high school.

“It is a single device (offering four options based on the person's needs) with different bases that swap in seconds without tools, allowing a person to seamlessly transition between the indoors and outdoors and as well as have the opportunity to now explore and enjoy the outdoors,” physical therapist Erin Michael explained.

This spring, the inaugural class of Minnetonka High School VANTAGE Fashion students collaborated with the school’s Best Buddies program to host the first “Redefining the Runway” fashion show. The event was a fundraiser for the Best Buddies Minnetonka Chapter, a club that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development and inclusive living for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. 

The honor celebrates schools, teachers and community leaders for their strong efforts in supporting music education and integrating many diverse and advanced music classes into the school's core curriculum.

Students filled nearly 770 volunteer slots at more than 100 different sites across the west metro, applying their work ethic, creative talents and caring hearts to tackle a wide range of projects.
